Want to help us make these little miracles' birthdays a little brighter this year? The list below is the things we can use for this project.

The Preemie Store has offered us an affiliate link - if you purchase through that link, we'll earn a commission on your purchase, and we'll put that towards supplies for this project. When you go to their site, click on "micro preemie" in the top left, then click the bodysuits and shirts link, then pick from the "Preemie Yums Micro Preemie NICU Wrap," "Oh So Small Micro Preemie IV Shirt and Hat," "Chuckleberries Small Preemie Bodysuit," or the "Chuckleberries Micro Preemie NICU suit," or any of the shirts or open shoulder gowns - we know from experience that these things are all compatible with the wires and tubes and other limitations of dealing with such small infants.

Preemies R Us also sells micropreemie clothing. Click on "shop by size" on the left, then "micro" - any of these will do, though the nic-shirts and nic-gowns seemed most usable to us.

PreemieTees sells clothing in small (1-2 lbs), medium (3-4 lbs) and large (5-6 lbs), all custom made when you order them

PreemieProud has micropreemie clothing - anything marked as NICU friendly will work, just pick the micropreemie link on the top left.

Tiny socks, hats, or diaper covers from either store are also appreciated, and will be included in packages as they are available - just keep in mind, we're looking for things meant to fit babies up to about 3 pounds.

Feeling crafty? Handmade stuff is just as good as store bought. Small blankets (18x18-24x24) in soft materials, crocheted hats, or small stuffed animals are quick to make. Email us for suggestions if you can't find patterns.

Tissue paper - pastels preferred.

Other brand new "preemie" sized clothing. We're talking walmart/babiesRus/carters type clothes. These will be for bigger babies, so regular onesies and sleepers in preemie sizes are ok, but things that have snaps at the neck or that don't have to be pulled over the the head are preferred. Zippers are highly discouraged. If you want to get some of these, shoot for catching them on clearance - we've gotten stuff for as little as $1-$3 per piece if we were watching.
